Creating Medical Simulators Focused on the Macro Aspects of Medical Training

Our Mission

We think the field of medical simulation has been missing something. The focus in simulation has been on recognising ‘classic' presentations one by one, or honing procedural skills. These are reasonable goals, but aren’t the hardest things in healthcare actually the atypical cases? Or when several patients deteriorate at the same time? Or simply being unsure if a patient can be safely discharged?

It’s time for Admission. Our goal is to train you for what’s really difficult. We provide healthcare simulation which focusses on dealing with the chaos, uncertainty and time pressure inherent in acute healthcare. With intelligent feedback, our training tools will help you develop your ability to cope and thrive under pressure.

In the future, we aim to expand our range of tools to include training suitable for ward nurses, triage nurses, and bed managers.

Our Mission

Within the field of medical education, individual patients, procedures, or diagnoses are often focused upon. This mean that the actual experience during a shift on a ward can only be experienced through real-life training. This can lead to real world mistakes as trainees learn how to apply the skills they have learnt to a real environment.

Admission aims to provide alternate training tools which instead focus on the stress, time, and memory management required to thrive in a medical ward while still testing medical knowledge. Trainees can learn not only how to diangose and treat illnesses, but also how the handle multiple patients at a time, order the correct type and amount of tests, and safely discharge patients when required.

In the future, Admission is looking toward additional tools for nurses, nurse management, ward management, triage, etc.
